HRI joins EU Horizon CARAMEL Project

Heart Rhythm International (HRI) is proud to announce its participation in the EU-funded CARAMEL Project, a pioneering Horizon Europe initiative focused on improving cardiovascular health for women aged 40 to 60, particularly during perimenopause and menopause. This stage of life brings significant hormonal and physiological changes that can increase cardiovascular risk, yet it remains under-researched and under-supported.

As an official partner, Heart Rhythm International is contributing its expertise in cardiac device data and artificial intelligence to support the development of predictive models that can identify early signs of cardiovascular risk. Our role focuses on securely analysing patterns from implanted device data and remote monitoring to support more personalised and preventive care pathways.

💡 Why it matters:
CARAMEL brings together leading academic, clinical, and industry partners from across the EU. With nearly 100,000 cardiac device procedures recorded on the HRI platform, we are uniquely positioned to help accelerate the development of data-driven tools that enhance women’s heart health during this critical period.

We are honoured to contribute to this transformative initiative and support more equitable, personalised care in cardiovascular medicine.
